Stood by long enough!

Ok, I have sat by idly long enough! I have reserved comment on The Chiefs because I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt! No longer! I say enough! I was willing to stand by and watch some of mt favorite players take off into the wild blue yonder of Football land and most of them have had twice the year they had with the Chiefs. I have stood by while we let go of a Coach who truly had the players support and love and bring in others without a winning record. I have stood by and put up with Larry Johnson continuing to play (very ineffectively) and yet no word of a trade or just plain sit him down and play some one who could make a difference! I have stood by ALL These things and many more, just in hopes that this year we would see a difference. You know what I've gotten for all that? NOTHING! Instead I have ended up with a team that is slowly being dissected from the inside out. (this is not proper procedure from what I learned in Science Class!) Don't get me wrong, I am a positive Chiefs Fan, positively Confused! Every year I hear the same thing, "it's a rebuilding year". Guess What! I'm not sure what they are building at this point! The "Youngest" team on the NFL? The team with the most Rookies!? The team that is 1 and 4? Good Going Herm! You Did it! Now just when I am trying my best to hold my temper and pretend that it will all even out in the end, I find that their newest move is to once again, pull the guts right out of the team and trade Tony Gonzales! How many Chiefs fans have sat in the stands and watched as Tony set record after record? How many times have we watched as Tony was the only one on the team to make a touchdown? To show serious effort and pride in his team!? How many Charities does he have going in the KC area anyway? Once you remove the backbone, how do we expect the rest of the "new", "young" players to improve? How do we expect the rest of the NFL world to respect us? Then, to wait until 1/3 of the way through the season and ask for a 2nd round draft pick? For one of the greatest Chiefs of all time? I say, ENOUGH!
