2008 is winding down, the NBA season is rolling along, the NFL playoffs are right around the corner, and the college football bowls are in full swing. In just a few weeks we can start focusing on the most exciting and important sport, ever – men’s college basketball.

The last image I had in my mind when I went to bed last night was Sam Bradford’s smug face placating my television screen. His careless and UN-Interested demeanor just added to my frustration over Oklahoma’s 61-41 victory Saturday night.

Much was made of the Texas Longhorns' run through the 'gauntlet' of Oklahoma, Missouri, Oklahoma State and Tech. Don't forget that the Red Raiders are finishing their own gauntlet of Kansas (who was ranked until the Tech demolished them), Texas, Oklahoma State, and now Oklahoma. Meanwhile, Oklahoma has had "get well" games scattered through their Big 12 schedule. So, Tech has earned their dues.

undefeated, and yes unproven, Ball State or Boise State-they are going to take a position from the Texas Longhorns, Oklahoma Sooners, or the machine that has been the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Only two teams from any conference can compete in a BCS Bowl game during a given season. So, as spots are guaranteed to the ACC and the Big East, eating up possible bowl game positions, they will exclude the deserving and make match-ups after New Years that will send us quickly into basketball season. Do you really want to see Florida vs. Cincinnati?
